FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH PROVIDES UPDATE ON DUVAL COUNTY TUBERCULOSIS CONFERENCE CALLS

TALLAHASSEE—In response to the 2012 Tuberculosis Epi-Aid Investigation in Duval County, the Florida Department of Health (DOH) has provided regular conference calls to offer updates to media and the public. Over the past six months, DOH has focused on achieving containment of the FL0046 strain TB cluster while striving to provide the highest level of transparency through 25 conference calls made available to the media and other interested parties.

Given the progress of TB containment in Duval County, DOH will discontinue the regularly scheduled calls at this time. Any further inquiries regarding the TB system of care in Duval County can be directed to Charles Griggs, Communications Director for the Florida Department of Health in Duval County.
