The US Department of Agriculture Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion improves the health and well-being of Americans by developing and promoting dietary guidance that links scientific research to the nutrition needs of the public. MyPlate offers personalized eating plans and interactive tools to help you plan and assess your food choices based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans are the foundation for reliable nutrition advice for people two years and older. The current Guidelines encourage most Americans to eat fewer calories, be more physically active, and make wiser food choices.
