New Child Meal Pattern Workshop

Beginning August 30th  the Child Care Food Program (CCFP) will offer New Child Meal Pattern workshops.   This training is primarily for CCFP managers/center directors and child care staff that purchase, prepare, and serve meals to children.  Training coordinators of sponsoring organizations or other child care staff that provide training to sponsored sites are also welcome and encouraged to attend.

We will conduct the workshop in one three-hour session.  This optional workshop will focus on new meal pattern requirements when feeding children in the CCFP.  It will also cover creditable foods, identifying whole grain foods and special needs meals.

If you are interested in attending this workshop, please use our online registration system (see link below).  After completing the online registration form, a confirmation notice will be sent to the email address you provide.

Due to limited space, please register on our website at least one week prior to the date of the workshop to reserve a space in the session you wish to attend. If you plan to make reservations for more than two people per contractor, please call for registration assistance.

If you are unable to attend the workshop, please visit the CCFP website homepage (mentioned above).  Click on “Nutrition and Menu Planning” and “New – Meal Patterns and Resources” to view available resources and education materials regarding the new meal pattern for children.
