VFC Provider CDC Required Training

Contact the Immunization Section

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requires all enrolled VFC Program providers to receive training each year. All providers and their staff who manage VFC Program vaccine must view the CDC's Vaccines for Children (VFC) and Storage and Handling You Call the Shots training modules to meet this requirement. Once training modules are complete, you can download a certificate of completion.

To document training completion, the Florida VFC Program is utilizing TRAIN Florida, a learning management system (LMS) for public health professionals. This is a free service provided by the Public Health Foundation.

We have created three instructional guides to walk you through the registration process in TRAIN Florida, the CDC's You Call the Shots, and uploading your certificates to TRAIN Florida.

  1. Guide 1–Registering in TRAIN Florida
  2. Guide 2–Registering for CDC courses
  3. Guide 3–Uploading certificate of completion in TRAIN Florida

The links listed below will take you to the TRAIN courses where you will register through TRAIN. The TRAIN registration leads to the CDC online course registration.

Course 1: Immunization: You Call the Shots–Module Ten–Storage and Handling: WB2362

Course 2: Immunization: You Call the Shots–Module Sixteen–Vaccines for Children Program: WB2363
