Cassandra Pasley Headshot

Cassandra Pasley began serving as the acting Chief of Staff for the Florida Department of Health on March 26, 2021.

Ms. Pasley has more than 30 years of extensive leadership experience in public health with a strong background in health care regulation, practice of health law and organizational management. She most recently served as the director for the Division of Medical Quality Assurance. She previously served as the Director for the Division of Children’s Medical Services from August 2014 until December 2019.

Prior to her service at the Department, she worked in various public and private health sectors, including the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Agency for Health Care Administration, Orlando Regional Medical Center, and served as a sergeant and nurse in the United States Army for seven years.

Ms. Pasley has a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing with Honors from the University of Maryland and a Juris Doctor from The Florida State University College of Law.
