If you suspect that a food is contaminated or has made you or someone that you know sick, follow these guidelines to report it. Routine regulation and inspection of restaurants and grocery/convenience stores is conducted by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation and the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services respectively. The Department of Health is responsible for investigation and control of food-borne illness outbreaks associated with all food establishments.
If you think you have food poisoning or an allergic reaction to food, consult your physician, or seek medical treatment as appropriate. If it is an emergency, call 911.
