The National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) is a non-profit patient advocacy organization dedicated to individuals with rare diseases and the organizations that serve them.  NORD has a page dedicated to Smith-Magenis Syndrome.

Founded by two families with children who have Smith-Magenis Syndrome, the Smith-Magenis Research Foundation aims to advance scientific research leading to innovative treatment options for people living with Smith-Magenis Syndrome.
