Established in section 381.4018 Florida Statutes, the Physician Workforce Advisory Council advises the State Surgeon General and the Florida Department of Health on matters concerning current and future physician workforce needs in this state, develop a state strategic plan, and reviews survey materials and the compilation of survey information.
This meeting will be the first meeting of the Strategic Planning Workgroup, to consolidate previous strategic planning efforts, and move forward with preparing an initial strategic plan, conduct ongoing strategic planning in accordance with statute, and provide ongoing advice on implementing the recommendations.
