The IFSP reflects the purpose of early intervention which is to promote parent/caregiver competence and confidence in helping the child learn and grow within their everyday routines, activities and places. Early Steps partners with families through the IFSP process to understand their unique priorities, resources, concerns, and interests related to their child's development and to identify the activities and settings in which the child and family spend time. This is accomplished through the IFSP team process.s.
