Early Steps Program
Provides early intervention services to infants and toddlers, from birth to 36 months, with developmental delays, disabilities, and at-risk conditions.
Healthy Start
Home visiting program that provides education and care coordination to pregnant women and families of children under the age of three.
Nutrition program for women, infants, and children, providing healthy foods, education and counseling, breastfeeding support, and referrals for health care, and community services.

Overview of certain vaccines to be administered before children may attend childcare or school, or obtain immunization records.
Newborn Screening
For well-babies, screening is completed one day after your baby is born, before being discharged home from the hospital. If you deliver outside a hospital, your birth provider will complete testing or arrange for testing 1-2 days after your baby is born.

Birth Certificates
The Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Vital Statistics would like to provide you with ordering options for your child's birth certificate. Three options are available:
- Mail-in or Walk-in to your local county health department.
- Online through vitalchek.com, our only approved vendor.
- Mail-in or Walk-in to the Bureau of Vital Statistics in Jacksonville, Florida.
