Infants and toddlers who meets the eligibility criteria for the IDEA, Part C program is entitled to early intervention services in order to address the functional outcomes identified on the IFSP. Early intervention services are those services designed to meet the developmental needs of the eligible child, under the IDEA, Part C, and the needs of the family related to supporting the child's development. The IFSP team, including the family, works together to identify the primary service provider and supporting team members who will deliver early intervention services and supports. Services selected in collaboration with the child's family are provided under public supervision by qualified personnel, and in conformity with the child's IFSP. Types of early intervention services and supports are as follows:
- Assistive Technology Devices and Services
- Audiology Services
- Family Training, Counseling, and Home Visits (Early Intervention Sessions)
- Health Services
- Medical Services (for diagnostic/evaluation purposes)
- Nursing Services
- Nutritional Services
- Occupational Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- Psychological Services (including mental health and behavioral services)
- Service Coordination
- Sign Language and Cued Language
- Social Work Services
- Special Instruction
- Speech Therapy
- Transportation and Related Costs
- Vision Services
- Translator/Interpretor Services
- Respite
- Other services necessary to meet IFSP outcomes
