The Florida Department of Health Live Like Bella Pediatric Cancer Research Initiative supports the pursuit of identifying cures for pediatric cancer.  

The Live Like Bella Pediatric Cancer Research Initiative , is established in section 381.922, Florida Statutes, works to advance progress toward curing pediatric cancer through grants awarded through a peer-reviewed, competitive process, to:

  • Significantly expand pediatric cancer research capacity in Florida
  • Improve both research and treatment through greater pediatric enrollment in clinical trials networks
  • Reduce the impact of pediatric cancer on disproportionately impacted individuals

2026 Pediatric Cancer Research Symposium
The Live Like Bella Pediatric Cancer Research Symposium is a full-day event that brings together researchers from renowned universities and hospitals around the world. The symposium will focus on groundbreaking research studies funded by the State of Florida’s Live Like Bella Pediatric Cancer Research Grant Program. It fosters collaboration and information sharing among scientists and will consist of topic focused sessions designed for clinicians, researchers, students and families.
