In addition to overseeing Floridaโs main immunization program, the Florida Department of Health provides information to assist with making informed decisions.
Adult & Travel Immunizations
Immunizations are available to adults interested in receiving routine vaccines and others that may be considered for international travel destinations.
Child Immunizations
Information about childhood immunization requirements for school attendance and vaccine exemptions.
Immunization Records
Immunization records are usually provided to parents when the child received them and may also contain other medical information from a health care provider. There is no national database that maintains the immunization records for adults. If official copies of immunization records are needed, or if there is a desire to update personal records, the following places may provide some assistance to obtaining these records:
- Ask parents/caregivers if they retained any records of immunizations
- Contact the high school and/or college attended for any records, if available
- Contact previous employers (including the military)
- Contact your local county health department to see if any records are on-file.
Florida Shots (State Health Online Tracking System) is a free, statewide, centralized online immunization registry that helps parents, health care providers and schools keep track of immunization records.
