The Targeted Outreach for Pregnant Women Act (TOPWA) aims to improve maternal health outcomes, reduce perinatal HIV transmission, and advance broader public health efforts in HIV prevention and care.
A total of $1 million in funding is available for perinatal HIV prevention programs.
The number of grant awards will depend on the amount of funds available and the number and quality of applications received. There may be an increase in individual funding amounts during the funding period to enhance perinatal HIV prevention projects. This potential increase would depend on the future availability of funds.
Requirements and Information
Applicants from qualified organizations are tasked with being capable of delivering targeted outreach and linkage services for pregnant women who are living with HIV, at heightened risk of HIV acquisition, or facing barriers to adequate prenatal care.
