The Florida Coordinating Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing serves as an advisory and coordinating body that recommends policies that address the needs of Floridaโ€™s deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened and deaf-blind community, in accordance with section 413.271, Florida Statutes.

The council is a resource for deaf and hard of hearing Floridians who need assistance with everyday needs including employment, education, and access to services.

The council is dedicated to assisting the nearly 3 million Floridians affected by hearing loss through providing technical assistance and resources to individuals, governmental agencies, private and public organizations.

The councilโ€™s technical assistance allows both public and private entities to better and more efficiently serve individuals with hearing loss, along with their families.
