The Florida Feasible, Actionable,ย Impactful, and Relevant (F.A.I.R.) Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Measurement Project intends to support data collection and reporting for the creation of rural-relevant EMS quality measures.

The principle goal of the F.A.I.R. EMS Measurement Project is to improve the access to quality care, not only in Floridaโ€™s rural areas but also to develop a national model for other states to follow. The Florida Department of Healthwill obtain this goal by utilizing an unprecedented amount of collaboration, through transparency and consensus building. This project will directly serve the needs of all rural EMS providers in Florida and throughout the nation.

The F.A.I.R. EMS Measurement Project aims to increase the 12% of rural EMS agencies using the statewide system for performance measurement to 100% and to validate and increase the number of EMS measures being used.

Additionally, this project intends to partner with the stateโ€™s EMS Advisory Council and constituency groups to validate measures currently being used and for the creation of new measures.
