Only approved courses from the providers listed below are accepted for Florida radon certification. To qualify, applicants must attend the course and pass the Florida Department of Healthโ€™s examination. The course providers set their own training fees which are separate from the certification fees.

Florida-Approved Radon Trainers


Training Provider Application

Organizations seeking to provide radon training for individuals pursuing Florida radon certification must apply for approval as a certification training course provider. The course must include content on Floridaโ€™s radon regulations and meet the standards set by the Florida Department of Health Radon Program.

  • To apply, submitย DH Form 1813ย (Application to Become a Radon Measurement or Mitigation Training Provider) along with the completed checklist included in the form
  • Email completed application and checklist to the Radon Program

All submissions will be evaluated for compliance with Rule 64E-5, Part X and XII, F.A.C. Upon approved, you will be authorized to offer training that qualifies individuals for state certification and must submit all training participant rosters to the Florida Department of Health within 30 days after each course (Rule 64Eโ€‘5.1203(11)(e)), F.A.C.

Course approval is valid for 24 months, and any modifications must receive pre-approval prior to implementation. The Florida Department of Health reserves the right to deny or revoke this approval if the course does not adhere to the standards specified in rule 64Eโ€‘5.1203(11)(j), F.A.C. Any modifications must receive pre-approval at least 15 business days before implementation of the change (64Eโ€‘5.1203(11)(I), F.A.C.).
