Vendor Requirements

WIC-Authorized Food and Formula Supply Sources

The list of authorized manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors will be updated periodically to show the addition or removal of sources for WIC foods that meet program audit requirements.

It is recommended that vendors check this list periodically to ensure that infant formula and other WIC foods that will be submitted for reimbursement are purchased only from sources on the list.

Authorized Manufacturers, Wholesalers, and Distributors

  • Private: Distributors listed as private may only be used by the individual corporation owning that distributor
  • Public: Public distributor list may be used by all vendors

florida wic contract infant Formulas

Florida WIC vendors are required to purchase infant formula only from the sources approved by the state. The sources shown are approved by the Florida WIC Program as of the effective date shown on the document.

If vendors wish to purchase infant formula from a source that is not listed, they must contact the state WIC office to receive prior approval at 800-342-3556 or 850-245-4202.

How to Become an Authorized WIC Vendor

Applicants must have been in the grocery business for at least one year. For current WIC-authorized vendors, the WIC vendor agreement does not constitute a license or a property interest. If a current WIC-authorized vendor in the region wishes to continue to be authorized beyond the period of its current agreement, the vendor must reapply for authorization.

Applicants new to WIC will be asked to provide their competitive prices for WIC products. All applicant vendor prices will be evaluated and only those stores offering prices competitive within their peer group will be accepted to participate as a WIC vendor.

Any store interested in becoming a WIC-authorized vendor or renewing their participation, subject to vendor requirements, must apply during the enrollment period. A background screening will be completed on applications received.
