Prevention

The Florida Department of Health utilizes a U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention evidence-based diabetes prevention lifestyle change program to help you build healthy new habits that last a lifetime.

When you join a lifestyle change program, you will learn, laugh, share stories, try new things and build new habits.

Over time, diabetes can cause serious health issues, such as heart disease, vision loss, and kidney disease.
