HIV/AIDS


Program News

ADAP clients can now get insurance for 2022.  Go to https://enroll.brhpc.org or call 844-441-4422 to enroll. If you have income 75% or higherof the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) you may be eligible for insurance during open enrollment which ends January 15, 2022.  Insurance plan enrollment must be done by December 15th for insurance to be active starting January 1st.

AIDS Drugs Assistance Program

The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) is a statewide, federally funded prescription medication program for low-income people living with HIV. This program provides access to medications to eligible uninsured clients or by purchase of health insurance that includes coverage for HIV medications.

If you are HIV positive and:

  • Need HIV/AIDS medications
  • Have income at 400% or less of the Federal Poverty Level
  • Are uninsured or do not have adequate prescription coverage
  • Are not confined to a hospital, nursing home, hospice, or correctional facility
ADAP may be able to help!


To Enroll

  1.  You must be determined eligible to receive HIV Patient Care services through the Patient Care eligibility screening process.
  2. Visit our ADAP Enrollment page.
  3. Call your local county health department and speak with an ADAP staff member.
  4. Enroll in ADAP.
  5. Get your prescriptions filled.
